About Wilson

With Love, Wilson is a family-run business, specialising in raw dog food & natural treats.

The ‘With Love, Wilson’ story began in November 2011, when Wilson (our Border Terrier) joined the family. Wilson was the fussiest dog we had ever known when it came to his food and treats, so we struggled to buy anything that he would eat, let alone enjoy! Over time we began to notice that Wilson was allergic to something and so began the pain-staking task of finding out what; via many, many food tests.

Eventually we discovered that he was allergic to wheat. This meant that most mass-produced dog foods from all the “big brands” were unsuitable for him.

From here on we began his raw food and natural treat diet. Initially we were literally buying meat cuts from our local butcher and putting them through an electric grinder in our kitchen.

However, following a few broken motors it quickly became clear that standard domestic equipment wasn’t up to the job, so we gambled and invested in large-scale production with the intention of starting a business and have grown from strength to strength ever since!
